A World without War

As we all know, humanity lived like a nightmare for two years with the covid-19 virus that started in 2020. Just as we were starting to keep up with the new world order, a war that we never wanted to happen happened this time. We wanted to say how sorry we are for this nightmare that has been experienced in the past 10 days, without expressing any political opinion, only in terms of the human and the troubles and sufferings of the people. It may be possible to live happier and more peacefully in the world we live in. 

On the other hand, the economic effects of the war began to reach a considerable degree of distress. With the development of the world, it would be correct to explain the age we live in as an information age. With technology, we are now much more involved in a development happening all over the world and we can follow the process closely. 

Everyone can see that the medical, economic and social effects experienced by the people living in the region due to the recent war are at the highest level. We would love to be experts enough to share our medical, social and political knowledge and experience in this process. However, we can only evaluate the situation in terms of the economic developments in the world and share our predictions as a result.  

It would be wrong to say that this war will do a lot of damage to the world economy. Due to the sanctions imposed by the American and European countries against Russia, the countries to which Russia exports and imports will suffer.

Russia, known as an important network in product logistic systems and supply chain system, are likely to encounter major economic difficulties in logistic network processes, not only for Russia, but also for countries that will export plenty products to Russia, which import products from Russia, due to the developments experienced and the closure of the borders of the countries in Europe. Let us tell you an example from our own country Turkey. Turkey imports wheat from Russia, but the news will make wheat import difficult and wheat prices will increase in Turkey due to the difficulties. Due to the increase in wheat prices, poor people will have difficulty in purchasing bread, which is the most basic consumption item. In addition, the tourism sector, which is Turkey’s most important source of income, receives its largest visitors from Russia and Ukraine, but it is unthinkable that people living in these war-torn regions can contribute to the tourism sector. Therefore, the Turkish economy will face difficulties.

In fact, wars cause centuries-long effects on societies. It takes a long time for this to recover economically, socially and in various ways. We hope that both sides will reach an agreement as soon as possible. As Grano, we are always against war. Love will make the world a better place!
